Creating a Donation Campaign
Donation campaigns can be created two different ways,
By copying a past donation campaign by clicking the ... next to your past Campaign and then Copy or
By creating a donation campaign from the beginning to do so Navigate to Campaigns click on New Campaign and then choose Donation.
Add the Name, Campaign description, Image and Time Zone associated with your campaign.
Donation Configuration
Add the Basic Details, Donor Details, Availability, Advanced Settings, Cover Fee Settings and Confirmation Email settings as you would with every other campaign. More information on this can be found here.
Donation Settings
The options are
Hide pledge option - This hides the option to make a pledge which is a promise to pay but not an actual donation.
Hide custom amount - If this is switched on your donors will not have the option to donate a custom amount of their choosing. They will only be able to donate at the levels you set under Donation Options.
Hide recurring donation - If this is switched on your donors will not have the option to make their donation recurring. If you leave this option on you can select the recurring frequency you want to make available to your donors for their recurring donations. For example for a Monthly Giving Campaign you may want to uncheck everything else except for Monthly.
Donation Options
You can add your Donation Options one by one or through Bulk Import
Basic Details
Images: Add one image for your Donation Options.
Thumbnail: Create a thumbnail for your Donation Option or generate one from your main Donation Option Image.
Option Name: Enter the Donation Option Name to be displayed to donors.
Amount: Enter the donation amount for the Donation Option
Value of goods & services provided, if any: Enter the total value of each Donation Option. The purchase price minus the value is considered to be the tax deductible amount for the Donation Option.
Additional Donor Details
Collect additional information from donors who select this donation option. Enabling these will override campaign-level settings. You can collect responses in the form of text or the donor may select one of the options provided in your question. You can make these optional or required.
Option Description
Set the description and summary for this Donation Option. The summary is displayed when donors are viewing the Donation Campaign. The description is seen when donors tap on the name of the Donation Option to view the Donation details.
Custom Launch/ End Date
Control visibility of your Donation Option by adding launch and end dates and times. If the Donation campaign is visible to donors but the launch date for this Donation Option is in the future, donors will not be able to see this Donation Option yet.
Hit save and your donation campaign is ready to be added to your event page,embed or shared on your website, or share via email and social media.
To edit your campaign at any time click on Edit from Campaigns.
Use the links or download the QR code and add it to your physical print material.
