# Closing a Silent Auction and Payments

## Closing an Online Silent Auction

There are 2 ways to close an Online Silent Auction

#### 1. During the virtual or hybrid event

During a virtual or hybrid event, go to the Run Screen in the [PayBee Back End](https://docs.paybee.io/home/events/hybrid-events/roles#silent-auction). Select the relevant Silent Auction and close. 

#### 2. Closing outside an event

Go to **Manage > Auction** and choose [End Auction](https://docs.paybee.io/home/guides/manage-auctions#declare-winners).

Ending an auction is different than pausing the auction. Ending an auction is not reversible and winners will be chosen and notified. You will see a warning about this when you end the auction.

## Closing a Traditional Silent Auction

For silent auctions that are not having their donors place their bid on PayBee and are instead using Traditional Bid Sheets. 

You want to add the items to the winner's carts using the PayBee App by volunteers or via the [Pending Report](https://docs.paybee.io/home/reports-and-analytics/all-pending-donations#adding-to-cart) or [In-Person Event Report](https://docs.paybee.io/home/events/in-person-events/in-person-checklist#1.-editing-carts) by account admins.

## Charging Auction Winners On Their Saved Payment Methods

At the close of the auction, organization admins can securely charge all winning bidders if the 'Donors must save payment info to place bids' setting was enabled for the auction. To charge the winners, go to **Manage** > **Auctions** > select your auction > go to the **Pending** tab > tap on the **Bulk Checkout** button. 

If donors saved cards for the event and not the auction, go to **Manage** > **Events** > tap on the **...** button for the event > **In Person Event Report** > Attendees tab > tap on the **Bulk Checkout** button.

## Auction Payments and Reports

To find all paid and pending auction winner transactions, go to **Manage** > **Auctions** > select your auction and go to the Paid or Pending tabs. You can also create pending carts by adding items to carts for bidders/donors here.

To see all those who haven't paid yet for their auction items and send them payment reminders you want to visit the [All Pending Report](https://docs.paybee.io/home/guides/reports-and-analytics/all-pending-donations) or your In-Person Event Report or Virtual Event Report depending on your event.
